I realized a lot of people really want to take the role of Mark Walhberg in the movie Shooter. Well I am not sure does paintball guns have that kind of technologies to push the paintball that far but as far as I know sniper is more to shooting accuracy.
Of course you don't expect your paintball can land in 200 yards away from you and you are still be able to get a clear head shot right:)If even though you can buy the best barrels, bolts, tanks, triggers with whole of your fortune but in reality, paintballs are not accurate projectiles.
I prefer calling the so-called 'PAINTBALL SNIPERS' to a better address - professionals shooter. But it's ok for me if you want to call it which ever names you likely preferred.
So how can you improve your accuracy and aiming when you want to 'snipe' someone.(I hope is not the neighbors you hated)
3 things you have to consider:
1) Camo
2) Your paintball marker
3) Try to improve your shooting skill
You must choose a camo that fits your terrain.
- Real-tree good in a dessert setting
- Tigers Stripe will not let your opponent spot you so easily.
- Avantage will be able to deceive your opponent thinking it was the back ground.
- same goes to TreeBark
- Woodland and Dots is much more complex.
Ok, I think that is enough info for the CAMO.
Then you have to get a good Paintball Marker or you can modify your Barrel. 14" Barrel is good enough- at least for me. You can also get a HPA tank.
Lastly, you must do practice. It is a must!
Practicing by shooting some paints in your backyard does not really help much. You have to do intensive range shooting or practice in a real game.
You must always remember how your body works for you. You need to steady your posture before you shoot. This is because if you miss your opponent, the whole world knows where you are and they will like firing all the paintballs they have on you, get what i mean.
When you try to aim try not to hold the marker in your hands. Try to look for something to support your marker so you would have more steady grip on your marker.
Do not lean with one knee and the other foot on the ground. This will cause you in to trouble.
Try not to stand and snipe( put this in your last option)
What if you missed and your opponents starts firing at you. Do not fret.
This is what you can do:
1) Stay still because if you are firing one paintballs at a time they won't spot you so easily.
2) Dive for cover
3) Let them eat your paintball as much as you can ... haha
Remember to practice a lot. Just try to enjoy your game as much as possible and always have a good sportsmanship:)
